Goods for Resale (Pricing)
Our pricing audit service is a valuable way of clients identifying pricing anomalies charged by suppliers.
One of the unique aspects of the way we undertake a pricing audit is to obtain copies of the clients scanned images, where available.
Applying advanced OCR (optical character recognition) routines to the scanned images enables us to carry out the work more efficiently and drill down to a much lower level than would normally be possible on manual based audits.
The audit comprises us reconciling agreed pricing information to the actual price charged by the supplier, highlighting any overcharges. These overcharges are then agreed with the client’s buyers and the recovery made through either a deduction on account or through further correspondence.
Typical errors include special discounts where the price has not been given or have not been applied for the correct time period or possibly agreements for multi products where an agreed price has not been applied to the product range.
We include a review of rebates and over-riders to determine that they have been received and if so, conform against the client/supplier terms.
As we already have full client AP (accounts payable) information stored in our database through the duplicate payment audit process, our routines are able to verify turnover calculations and pinpoint anomalies where they occur.
